Coulter will be participating in Shattemuc Yacht Club's annual charity paint out on Saturday, August 6, 2022.

This event is a live plein air painting event to be help rain or shine. Approximately 30 artists from around the Hudson Valley will gather at the Shattumuc Yacht club and paint the beautiful surroundings of the Hudson River, etc.

There will be a wine & cheese reception & preview at 3pm with a live auction at 5pm. All paintings are for sale and thel proceeds will benefit the Junior Sailing Academy at Shattemuc Yacht Club.

Shattemuc Yacht Club is located at 46 Westerly Road, P.O. Box 29, Ossining, NY 10562. If you are taking the train, Shattemuc is within walking distance from the Ossining Train Station.

Coulter's will have seven landscapes in a group show at the Howland Cultural Center from November 2 through December 2, 2019. The gallery is open Friday through Mondays from 1pm-5pm.  Join Coulter at the closing reception of Millbrook Vineyards and Winery's Art in the Loft Wine Label Competition. Coulter Young is one of twelve artists in this group show. On Sunday, November 5 from 2pm-4pm there will be a closing reception and the winner of the 2017 wine label competition will be announced. In addition, the afternoon includes book signings by several local authors, acoustic guitar by Patty Ann Economos and a live poetry perforce by Dutchess County Poet Laureate, Pet Gold.

A form of chaotic, spontaneous, collective behavior comes together for the exhibit FOOD FIGHT! Artist members (Illustrator, Illustrator-S, Educator) of the Society of Illustrators were asked to illustrate their favorite depiction of FOOD and create it in any medium and size of their choice. 
Starting with the emblematic still-life paintings of the Renaissance, artists have found ways to make food look mouthwatering on canvas.  Food holds a special place in visual culture and illustrations of food are an ongoing obsession with artists. The Surreal portrait paintings by Giuseppe Arcimboldo created strange and compelling whimsical portraits in which facial features were composed of fruits, vegetables, and flowers. Wayne Thiebaud painted rows of pies and cakes that brought to mind advertisements and childrens toys. Figure With Meat, by Francis Bacon, depicts his long fascination with butcher shops, while Salvador Dali’s cult cookbook, Les Diners De Gala depicts his surrealistic connection to food. Regardless of how artists became inspired to use food as an art medium, it’s the result of a long tradition of food in art.
An Opening Reception will be held on Friday, November 3.

In conjunction with New Directions 2015 the 31st Annual Juried Contemporary Art Exhibition, Coulter has been asked to speak on an artists panel entitled Inside the Artists' Studio. Please join him and seven other Hudson Valley artists who were also selected for the New Directions 2015 juried exhibit answer questions surrounding their studio, if they have a studio, their creative process etc.
