From July 1 through July 10, 2014, I will participating in the Tuscan Art Workshop under the direction of master painter, Andrew Lattimore.
Each day of the Tuscan Art Workshop consists of 4-6 hours of Plein-air painting instruction, critiques and demos (with the exception of two free days, where I can paint, explore Florence, hike or whatever!) We will be painting the Tuscan Landscape beneath the ancient hilltop town of Friesole, which hosts the most spectacular panoramic views of Florence, Italy. With rolling hills and silver-leaved olive groves punctuated by towering cypress trees, it is the perfect place for a plain-air painter. We will also visit various historic churches, galleries and museums, such as Uffizi Gallery, Museo dell’Opera del Duomo, Santa Maria Novella, Pitti Palace, Etc.
The work from this workshop will be on view in an upcoming exhibit at the Desmond-Fish Library in Garrison, NY in September, 2014.
